Guest Lecture on “CV Writing”

On 22^nd January 2025, the School of Engineering and Sciences, GD Goenka University, organized a CV Writing Workshop to equip students with essential resume-building skills. The session was conducted by Ms. Tarannum Naseem Raza, a Professional Career Counsellor from the T.I.M.E Institute, Gurgaon, and coordinated by Dr. Deepika Garg and Ms. Jagriti Gaba.

The workshop began with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. K. Thammi Reddy, Dean, who underscored the importance of a well-structured CV in enhancing career opportunities. He emphasized that an effectively crafted resume serves as a crucial bridge between academic achievements and professional aspirations.

Ms. Raza provided expert insights into CV formatting, content structuring, and the strategic inclusion of relevant information. She stressed the significance of customizing resumes for specific job roles and industries, explaining how personalization increases the likelihood of capturing recruiters' attention.

To foster an interactive learning experience, the workshop featured a Q&A session, where students actively engaged, seeking guidance on refining their resumes. Ms. Raza addressed their queries with practical advice, helping them understand the nuances of presenting their qualifications effectively.

The session was highly informative and impactful, leaving participants with enhanced knowledge and confidence to craft compelling CVs. The workshop successfully achieved its objective of preparing students for the competitive job market by equipping them with practical skills to present themselves professionally.
