School of Education organizes Three Days Workshop on Art

“Art is freedom; being able to bend things most people see as straight lines”.

In recent times, great emphasis has been given to integrate art in education both at the school and teacher education level. This is because art is equally important as academic subjects in development and flowering of a learner to form into a holistic personality. At School of Education, G D Goenka University it is our persistent effort to provide the student-teachers exposure to diverse aspects of teaching and learning.

In this regard, a three day workshop was organized on February 21, 23 and 28, 2018 at the School. Ms.Priyanka Jain, Assistant Professor, School of Fashion and Design (SoFD), G D Goenka University was the resource person for the workshop. During these three days, student-teachers unleashed their creative potential on sheets and canvas to draw and paint still life, landscapes and coloured composition.
