The ninth edition of the GD Goenka Annual Fest was held from 06 March to 08 March 2024. The event, happily coinciding with the International Women’s Week and culminating on International Women’s Day was themed Empowering Women, Empowering Humanity. The inaugural of the fest saw three exceptional women achievers gracing the stage and addressing our participants and audiences. The Chief Guest of the event, DSP Haryana, Ms. Mamta Kharab, acclaimed Hockey player and Arjuna Awardee, inspired the participants with her own journey andexhorted on them to participate with all their vigour. Our first guest of honour, Ms. Sifat Khurana, successful entrepreneur and co-founder Innovist, stood as a shining example of how passions can be transformed into successful ventures. Our second guest of honour, Ms. Vibha Pandey, tech enthusiast, social activist, politician and authoraddressed the students, calling upon them to harness the power of their youth and the multiple opportunities of growth that the world offers to them.

Acceleron is a techno-cultural extravaganza that gives a prestigious platform to talents across categories as varied as music, dance, fashion, photography and the arts, truly a celebration of culture. The event invites participation by universities across Delhi NCR as they vie to win the attractive cash prizes and prestigious trophies of the event.

An Intra-University Nukkad Natak was held on 06 March 2024. The event saw participation by multiple teams across Delhi-NCR including participants from, PGDAV college, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Delhi and GD Goenka University. There was a great variety in the performances that included themes like Sex education, Gender stereotyping, Social Media effects, Communal Divide, Corruption and Political Polarisation, etc. to name a few. The winner for the event was the team from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Delhi, followed by PGDAV College (M), Delhi University, Delhi at the second position.

An exciting Inter-University Scavenger hunt event was held on 06 March 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation as teams were sent out to gather a collection of common, absurd, or amusing objects without making any purchases. The participants also had to complete different tasks as well. After the preliminary round, five teams competed for the final prize, solving complex riddles and accomplishing various tasks to collect a colour coordinated flag to signify the completion of the round. The team that accomplished all their tasks perfectly with the least penalties in the shortest time were the winners of the Scavenger Hunt. The fun competition saw the Purple Team comprising Kiran Chauhan, Bhupender Badlia, Tuba Fatima and Shalini Anand, B.Sc. Hons. Forensics, Batch 2023-26, School of Medical & Allied Sciences, emerge winners followed by the Yellow Team comprising Jessamin Yadav; Vaibhav Srivastava; Varun Kumar and Aditi Kaushik, SabihaParwin, B. Com Hons., Batch 2021-24, School of Management, GD Goenka Universityat the second place.

An Inter-University Art Competition was held by the Art Club, GD Goenka University on 06 March 2024 as part of the Annual Fest, Acceleron 2024. The competition saw participation by universities across Delhi-NCR which included KR Mangalam University, Sohna, Zakir Hussain College, Delhi, Bharti Women’s College, Delhi University to name a few. The competition featured a diverse range of mediums including paintings and drawings, providing a platform for students to express themselves and explore their artistic potential. The competition was themed Scenery-Inspiration unleashed and saw participants presenting their interpretations and vision, contributing to a colourful and dynamic exhibition. The event was an apt platform nurturing creativity and fostering an environment of cultural enrichment within its academic community. The winner for this competition was Poorna Sivaranjan, B. Des. Product Design, Batch 2023-27, Unitedworld Institute, GD Goenka University followed by Garima Singh, KR Mangalam University, Gurugram.

The Literary Club of GD Goenka University organized an Inter-University event, Poetry Slam,on 07 March 2024 as part of Annual Fest Acceleron. The event saw enthusiastic participation by students from K.R. Mangalam University, Sohna, Ram Lal Anand College, D U,SRM University Sonipat as well as students from G.D. Goenka University and UID.  The poetry slam was a lively and engaging event, where the participants performed their original poems with passion and creativity. The poems covered various aspects of life. The poetry slam was a successful and enriching experience for the participants and the audience, as it provided a platform for artistic expression, critical thinking, and social dialogue.  The event was very lively throughout with constant cheering and clapping by the audience.The winner for this event was Ms. Meenu Nair, from SRM University Sonipat, while the runner’s up position was taken by Ms. Muskan Jain, MBA, Batch 2023-25, School of Management, GD Goenka University. The winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates as well as cash prize.

The International Club of GD Goenka University organized an Inter-University International Talent Hunt, Aura, on 07 March 2023 as part of Annual Fest, Acceleron 2024. The event was a true celebration of the vibrant diversity of the university. The venue of the event donned the flags of the various countries from which its international participants came. The participants dressed in their ethnic attire further added to the festive feeling of the event. Poetry recitation, singing, dance, comedy was amongst the few notable acts of the day. The Dance Club of GD Goenka University organized an inter-university dancecompetition on 07March 2024 as part of the Annual FestAcceleron 2024. The eventfeatured a total of 21 performances, including 16 solo performers and 5 groupdance teams. The participants represented various prestigious institutions,including K.R. Mangalam University, Lady Irwin College, Delhi University, DPGPolytechnic, Jaat College, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology,Dronacharya Government College, Oxford Institute, JIMS Kalkaji, KLP College, Rewari, Daulatram College, DU as also participants from the host university.The performances showcased a diverse range of dance styles, with participantspresenting folk dances from Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab, along withcaptivating break dance and Bollywood acts. The energy and enthusiasmof the performers were matched by the large and lively audience, creating anelectric atmosphere throughout.The competition was fierce. Rigorous rounds of competition saw Parth, DPG Degree College emerge as the winner in theSolo Dance category followed by AnjaliSharma, DPG Degree College as the first runner up and Palak Bisht, JIMS, Kalkaji at the second runner up position. In the group dance category,the Nityanjali Team, lady Irwin College, Delhi University secured the first position followed by Team Funk in Motion, Maharaja Agrasen University,at the second position in the Group Dance category.The Group Dance category saw a tie for the third position between TeamBhangra Sway, (Independent Team) and Team Zeneith, Daulatram College, Delhi University

The winners were honoured with trophies, certificates, and cash prizes,acknowledging their exceptional talents and efforts.

The BSA techno-Clubs of GD Goenka University organized a mystery room competition ‘Rahasya’ on 08 March 2024. The event entailing a lot of excitement invited participants to solve clues and uncover a mystery to emerge the winner.The event was divided into 2 rounds. In the first round the participants were divided into teams of 5 with 3 teams in a room, only exception was room 1 where there were 4 teams. In a team there were 5 participants (6 participants in team 4) and a total of 7 teams.In the second phase winners of first round were promoted for playing the second round.A total of 11 participants cleared the first round. The winner of the exciting event wasPunya Sachdeva,B. Sc. Biotech, 1^st Year, Batch 2023-26, School of Engineering & Sciences, GD Goenka University.

The Fashion Club of GD Goenka University organized a Regata Gala Fashion Show on 08 March 2024 as a part of Annual Fest Acceleron 2024. The event called upon teams and duet entries to express fashion in terms of dressing on themes as the teams deemed fit. This event was not just a showcase of garments but a testament to the talent, passion, and relentless pursuit of excellence that defines our university community. The event celebrated the power of fashion to inspire change. The event truly showed fashion as a force that has the ability to challenge societal norms, break stereotypes, and pave the way for a more inclusive and diverse world. Each participant of the event truly reflected on the evolving nature of our society. Tough competition sawthe KR Mangalam University team emerge winner in the team event followed by the SGT University team as the runner up. The Music Club of GD Goenka University organized a Solo Singing event on 08 March 2024 as part of Annual Fest, Acceleron 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation by more than 20 participants.  The participants included students from KR Mangalam University, SGT University, as well as students from Guest performances were alsohe host university. There was a great variety in the performances that included classical song, Bollywood song and musical bands. The participants performed very energetically and there was quite a large audience who were equally enthusiastic. The event was very lively throughout with constant cheering and clapping by the audience. The melodious competition saw Sneha Deb and Reetom Rakshit, K.R Mangalam University emerge winners, followed by Hinakshi Choudhary,  SGT University as the first runner up and Mishma Mary Jeemon, B.Sc. Agriculture, Batch 2023-27, School of Agricultural Sciences, GD Goenka Universityas the second runner up.

The Photography Club of GD Goenka University organized an Inter-University Short Film Competition, ‘Voiceless World’ organised as part of the Annual Fest Acceleron 2024 on 08 March 2024. There were 29 participants in the event. The participants included members of K.R. Mangalam University, Sohna, Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad, St Andrews Institute of Management and Tech, Gurugram as well as students from the host university. The Film creation included actors, looking out for locations. Storytelling, short breakdown, and film editing. The event was very lively throughout with constant cheering and clapping by the audience after seeing the short film entries.The winning team included Saisha Raheja, Bhumika Sharma, Jaanya Raheja, Aryan from K.R. Mangalam University, Sohna,followed by Abhishek Panjari, St Andrews Institute of Management and Tech, Gurugram, as first runner up followed by the team of Aryan Katiyar, B. Tech. CSE, 1^st Year, Batch 2023-27;  Sanya Sharma, BCA, 3^rd Year, Batch 2021-24 and Sahil Singh Rajput, B.Tech CSE, 3^rd Year, Batch 2021-25, School of Engineering & Sciences from GD Goenka University at the second runner up position. The winners were presented with trophies and certificates as well as cash prizes.
