Amit Slathia, currently serving as Assistant Professor at UID and Program Leader for the BFA program at GD Goenka University, is deeply committed to socially and environmentally engaging art practices. His impactful projects, such as the widely celebrated Sanat Cloth, garnered millions of shares on various social media platforms, leading to a substantial clothing collection distributed to NGOs. The transformative Rangoli on Road campaign in Sushant Lok gained national media attention. Beyond his educational role, Mr. Slathia actively contributes to research, notably through his involvement in the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
With a global artistic presence showcased at prestigious events like the India Art Fair, the Lalit Kala National Art Exhibition and the Busan International Art Fair, Mr. Slathia stands as a testament to artistic mastery. His accolades, including the esteemed 87th All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society Award, underscore his profound artistic contributions. He has also received the Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture (2015–2016) and has been commissioned for large-scale relief murals and paintings for DDA Vikassadhan New Delhi in 2012. His diverse collaborations with Mudra Advertising Agency and innovative designs for spiritual music albums further affirm his identity as a true artist. With 11 years of teaching experience in various art and design schools, Mr. Slathia's multifaceted persona seamlessly integrates his artistic core with his role as a premier art academician, providing students with a unique and enriching perspective.
