Introduction:

Mahi Khare is an Assistant Professor at UID NCR Campus, bringing a diverse background in design research, product design, and storytelling to her academic practice. She holds a Master’s in Design Research from NIFT Mumbai and has previously taught at leading institutions such as ISDI Mumbai and Atlas SkillTech University. With over four years of experience, she has worked extensively in the design industry, including her role at Rubbabu Toys, where she designed sensory-rich, developmentally supportive toys for children. Her expertise spans branding, packaging, communication design, and user research. At UID, she teaches courses in Visual Communication, Packaging Design, Wayfinding, and Systems Thinking, while guiding interdisciplinary student projects. Mahi’s pedagogy integrates Indian Knowledge Systems, SDGs, and NEP 2020 goals. Her current research focuses on reimagining Indian folk narratives as multisensory educational tools for early childhood, aiming to make learning more culturally immersive, emotionally engaging, and developmentally meaningful.
