Introduction:

Judith is a multidisciplinary designer with 15+ years of experience across Circular fashion, social innovation, design research, and more. Her career bridges the fashion industry, design education, and non-profit sectors, combining creativity with ethical and impactful design practices.

Judith has worked with global organizations such as Enviu (Netherlands) to develop Circular apparel business models and transparent supply chains, and with Meghshala Trust to design contextualized digital education tools for underserved schools in India. Her project with Bhusattva, a GOTS-certified organic fashion label, brings to table how hi end organic fashion can be created in the ethnic wear segment in the bridge category.

As a founding faculty member and Centre Coordinator at NIFT Shillong, she helped establish the fashion design department, planning academics, administration, and regional development projects. Her earlier roles in the private sector included design roles in denim, knitwear, and high-end ethnic wear for brands like Numero Uno, Ogaan, and J.B. Exports.

She is passionate about using design as a tool for meaningful social change.
