Anti Ragging Committee

The institute has established the Anti-Ragging Committee to prevent ragging activities, consisting of senior faculty members and headed by Prof. Shailendra Bhatt. The committee has taken steps and allotted duties to Anti Ragging Committee members in almost all areas in the institute and ensures to avoid ragging activities. Wide canvassing about anti-ragging, is being done in the forms of posters and Boards in premises and surrounding areas where there is a chance of ragging. Grievances & Redressal Committee is also made a part of these anti-ragging activities. Awareness programs about Anti Ragging are conducted by the Anti Ragging Committee in the form of meetings to the senior students, faculty & non-college personnel. Objectives

To root out ragging in all its forms from medical colleges/institutions in the country by
prohibiting it by law, preventing its occurrence by following the provisions of these
Regulations and punishing those who indulge in ragging as provided for in these Regulations
and the appropriate law in force.

  • The ragging of a student in any form in the campus or hostel is strictly prohibited
  • The students involved in this activity will be detained from the college & action will be taken against them as per & Indian University Act.
  • Do not involve in such activities and Do not spoil your life.
  • If any such instance is observed or noticed anywhere kindly try to prevent it and report it to Anti Ragging Committee.

Objectives of the Cell:

  • This cell will look after the related matters (if any) of depriving a student / staff or group of students on the basis of caste, creed, language, ethnicity, gender, different ability.
  • This cell always try to uphold the dignity of the institution by addressing the concerns (if any) brought into the notice related to equality in offering or receiving education inside the institute.
  • This cell ensures conducive environment for academic growth of the students belonging to the institute.
  • This cell protects the rights of individuals without any prejudice to their appearance or lifestyle in the process of learning in the institute.
  • The Cell shall eliminate discrimination against or harassment of any individual in all forms by prohibiting it and by providing preventive and protective measures to facilitate its eradication and punishments for those who indulge in any form of discrimination or harassment.

Gender Sensitization Cell (GSC)

A campus level Gender sensitization cell has been constituted. It has been instructed to spread the message of gender equality in order to eliminate gender bias insensitivity through seminars, poster display, organizing exhibitions etc. The cell has also been mainly entrusted with taking up cases of harassment and atrocities on female teachers, employees and girl students, enquire and take appropriate action against the culprits.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To examine all grievance letters received from the women staff/students regarding the sexual harassment.
  • To examine and investigate on each complaint received from the women staff/ students by collecting the required information from connected people.
  • To give feedback to the women staff/students concerned/ to find solution for their grievances.
  • The committee will record such grievances received from the women staff/ students in a separate register maintained exclusively for this purpose. The replay given by the committee to the women staff/students for grievance should also be recorded in the register.

Objective

The objective of the NAAC Committee at the School of Healthcare and Allied Sciences is to facilitate the accreditation process by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
