MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR TEACHING POST IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY
1) Lecturer:
i) Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm).
ii) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.
iii) First Class Master’s degree in an appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
2) Assistant Professor:
i) Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm).
ii) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.
iii) Master’s degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
iv) Ph.D. degree (with First Class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy with 3 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the Lecturer level or equivalent.
3) Associate Professor
i) Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm).
ii) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.
iii) Master’s degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
iv) Ph.D. degree (with First Class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy with 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at Assistant Professor level or equivalent.
4) Professor
i) Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm).
ii) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.
iii) Master’s degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
iv) Ph.D. degree (with First Class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy with 10 years experience in teaching in PCI approved/recognized Pharmacy College or researchexperienceoutofwhich5years must be as Associate Professor in PCI approved/recognized Pharmacy College.
5) Director/Principal
i) Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm).
ii) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.
iii) Master’s degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
iv) Ph.D. degree (with First Class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy with 15 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Researchoutofwhich5yearsmustbeatthe level of Professor or above in Pharmacy.
v) Desirable: Administrative experience in a responsible position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR GUEST/VISITING FACULTY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY
1) Assistant Professor
Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm). Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act. Master’s degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy. Ph.D. degree (with First Class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy with 3 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the Lecturer level or equivalent.
2) Associate Professor
Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm). Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act. Master’s degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy. Ph.D. degree (with First Class degree either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy with 5 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at Assistant Professor level or equivalent.
3) Professor
Basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm). Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act. Master’s degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy. Ph.D. degree (with first Class either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacywith10years experience in teaching in PCI approved/recognized Pharmacy College or research experience out of which 5 years must be as Associate Professor in PCI approved/recognized Pharmacy College.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY TEACHERS
I) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:
Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (B.P./T/B Th/P//B.P.Th.), Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (M.&P.Th/M.Th.PJM.Sc. P.T/MP.T.) with at least 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) from a recognized University.
II) ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
i) Essential: A Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (M.P.T./M.P.Th/M.Th.P/M.Sc. P.T.) with eight years of experience as Assistant Professor.
ii) Desirable: Higher Qualification such as PhD, Degree in any discipline of Physiotherapy recognized by the UGC and published work of high standards in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
III) PROFESSOR:
Essential: Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy(M.P.T./M.P.Th./M.Th.PJM.Sc. P.T.) with ten years experience.
Desirable:
(i) Higher Qualifications, such as a PhD in any subject of physiotherapy, are recognized by UGC.
(ii) Published work of high standard in peer-reviewed or UGC Listed journals.
IV) PRINCIPAL/DIRECTOR/DEAN:
Essential: Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy with fifteen years total experience, including five years experience as Professor (Physiotherapy).
Note:
(i) Senior most professors shall be designated as the principal/director/dean.
(ii) Desirable: Higher Qualifications, such as a PhD in any subject of physiotherapy, are recognized by UGC and published work of high standard in peer-reviewed or UGC Listed journals.
