Dr. Anand Kumar Singh is a Head-Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy at the School of Healthcare & Allied Sciences, GD Goenka University. He has been a part of the academic and clinical physiotherapy landscape for over 13 years. Dr. Singh has previously served as the Head of the Physiotherapy Department at R P Indraprastha Institute of Medical Sciences, where he contributed significantly to curriculum development, quality management, and student mentorship.

Dr. Singh earned his Master’s in Physiotherapy (Orthopaedics) from Maharishi Markandeshwar University and his Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from Guru Nanak Dev University. Currently pursuing his PhD, Dr. Singh’s research interests include exercise physiology, electrotherapy, endocrinology, exercise and diabetes, and the impact of exercise on sleep.

During his tenure, Dr. Singh has actively participated in institutional quality improvement initiatives, including NIRF rankings, NAAC accreditation, and web content development. He has also been a key member of committees addressing anti-ragging, gender sensitization, and disciplinary matters.

Industrial & Academic Contributions
Dr. Singh has introduced innovative teaching methods, aligned with research and clinical practice, to enhance student outcomes. He has served as a Center Superintendent for university examinations and as a member of the Scholarship Committee, ensuring academic and administrative excellence.

Research & Memberships
Dr. Singh is a registered physiotherapist with the Haryana State Council for Physiotherapy and holds lifetime membership with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). His published research and active participation in professional circles underscore his commitment to advancing physiotherapy education and practice.

Research Area-Myofascial pain syndrome and AI and Healthcare

Total Publication- Dr. Singh has authored over 30 research papers and contributed 20+ book chapters.

Major Subject Handled- Physiology, Electrotherapy, Research Methedology Orthopaedics. His academic supervision includes guiding 15+ undergraduate and 4 postgraduate projects, with several ongoing.
