Introduction:

Dr. Aashish Sharma is associated with School of Healthcare & Allied Sciences, GD Goenka University since 2018.

Dr. Aashish Sharma is currently working as a Professor in GD Goenka University, Gurgaon, India. Before Joining GD Goenka University, he has served in SFI Centre for Research in Medical Devices (CÚRAM), National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland as Post-Doctoral Biomedical Scientist. During post-doctoral tenure, he has developed a surgical sealant for femoral anastomosis for one of the leading medical device company Boston Scientific, Galway Ireland. Earlier, he has completed his doctorate from the institute of National Importance, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal (IISERB), Bhopal, M.P, India, He completed his master degree from Nirma University of Science Education and Technology, Ahmedabad. He has numerous international publications in journals of high-impact. He has been awarded prominent alumni award- 2019 from Nirma university, Ahmadabad, Gujarat, India and Membership of Royal Society of Chemistry, UK. He has been granted one Indian patent on “Biodegradable self-curable underwater adhesives”. This innovation is at the stage of technology transfer and has been listed as National Innovations 2016. This invention has been covered by more than 30 newspapers pan India. He has delivered many invited lectures/ expert talks in various national and international events.
