Sportopia 2024, a part of the annual fest of GD Goenka University is a sporting extravaganza, celebrating human grit, perseverance and competitive spirit as participants sweat it out in the lush green grounds of the campus. The event saw a range of sports from cricket to football, badminton to basketball, pickleball to padel, table-tennis to chess and even shooting and e-sports. The Chief Guest for the event, Ms. Mamta Kharab, Indian Hockey's Golden Girl and the inspiration behind the movie Chak De India inaugurated the event and inspired the participants with her inspiring journey.
The Badminton Club of BSA Sports organized an Intra-University badminton competition in the boy’s category as part of the Annual Fest Sportopia 2024 from 06-08 March 2024. The participants included members of Amity University, Gurugram, Apeejay Satya University, Gurugram, Noida International University, Noida, Dronacharya Government College, Gurugram, K.R. Mangalam University, Sohna as well as students from the host University. The participants performed very energetically and there was quite a large audience who were equally enthusiastic. Rigorous rounds of competition saw Saurabh Sharma, BBA, Batch 2023-24, School of Management, GD Goenka University emerge winner followed by Raghav Songara, BA (H) Culinary Arts, Batch 2023-24, School of Hospitality and Tourism, GD Goenka University as the runner up. The winners were presented with trophies and certificates as well as cash prize.
The Badminton Club of BSA Sports organized an Intra-University badminton competition in the girl’s category as part of the Annual Fest Sportopia 2024 from 06-08 March 2024. The participants included members ofAmity University, Delhi, DGC, Gurugram, Janki Devi Memorial College, University of Delhi, Delhi Dias Club, K. R. Mangalam University, Netaji Subhas University of Technology as well as students from the host University. Thetournament was in the knockout format. Four matches were held in the group stage followed by two semi-finals and finals.The winner was Aananya Singhfrom Amity Universityfollowed by Ritika Sangwan, from DGC College, Gurugram.

An Inter-University Cricket Tournament was held as a part of Annual Fest Sportopia 2023 from 6th-8th March 2024. There were 12 Teams in the event. The teams included members of Noida International University, DPG College, K. R. Mangalam University, IILM University, Mewat Engineering College, SGT as well as the host university. There was a total of four rounds in the cricket tournament which included Qualifier, Quarter final, Semi-Final and Final. The Final, a tough battle between the GD Goenka University Team and KR Mangalam Team, saw the GD Goenka Team emerge winnersfollowed by KR Mangalam Team as the runner up. The E-Sports Club of GD Goenka University organized a Gaming Competition from 06-07 March 2024 in collaboration with Skoar MSI andCrucial. The highlight of the event was the series of well-organized tournaments, offering participants the chance to showcase their skills in popular games like Tekken, BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), and Valorant. Whether battling it out in martial arts combat in Tekken or strategizing their way to victory in BGMI and Valorant, participants engaged in thrilling matchups that captivated both players and spectators alike.Complementing the tournaments was an expansive experience zone where attendees could explore a diverse array of gaming experiences. From classic console gaming on the PS4 and PS5 to cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) simulations, there was something to pique the interest of every gaming enthusiast. Meanwhile, MSI's provision of high-quality gaming equipment elevated the overall gaming experience, enhancing graphics, performance, and immersion for all participants. In addition to the thrilling competitions and immersive gaming experiences, the event featured two special highlights that added depth and diversity to the festivities. An all-girls gaming team made a notable appearance, highlighting the university's dedication to promoting gender equality in gaming. Their participation provided a platform for female gamers to showcase their talents and passion for gaming, breaking down barriers and challenging stereotypes within the gaming community.Furthermore, a girls vs. boys match injected an extra dose of excitement into the event, fostering friendly rivalry and camaraderie between genders.

The Football Club of GD Goenka University organized an inter university football tournament during its Annual Fest, 2024 from 06-08 March 2023. Several teams from prestigious colleges of Delhi-NCR includingNoida international universityDPG Degree College, SGT University, IILM UNIVERSITY Gurugram, Amity University, Manesar, Apeejay Stya University, KR Mangalam University and several teams from the host university. The first semi-final match was played between GDGU-A and SGT university and the GDGU-A team won the game with 5-0 points.The second semi-final match was played between NIU and GDGU-B and NIU team won the game with 3-0 points.The final match was played between NIU and GDGU-A team. Noida International University emerged winners with a penalty shoot of 1-0. The Shooting Club of GD Goenka University organized an Inter-University as part of Annual Fest Sportopia 2024 on 08 March 2024. The event was organized at the GD Goenka Indoor Shooting Academy. There were 20 participants in the event. The participants included members from Ashoka University, Sonipat, Eklavya Sport Shooting Range, Maruti Kunj, Gurgaon, Rezangla Shooting Sports Academy, Gurgaon, Haryana, MLNC(E), New Delhi as well as students from the host University. The competition was held in two categories – pistol and rifle with 40 shots to each participant. The winner in the Pistol category was Mr. Hitesh from MLNC(E) followed by Mr. Ishaan Yadav from Rezangla Shooting Sport Academy as the first runner up and Mr. Ashwani Kumar from Ashoka University as the second runner up.In the Rifle Category Ms. Sanah Agrawal from Ashoka University was the winner followed by Mr. Harshit Singh, Rezangla Shooting Sport Academyas the first runner up and Mr. Kanav, Rezangla Shooting Sport Academy as the second runner up.
