On August 12th, 2022, GD Goenka School of Management hosted a special Guest Lecture for MBA
students of batch of 2022-2024. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Sanjay Gakhar, Vice President
(Business Development) of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd.
Mr. Sanjay Gakhar conducted an interactive session on what commodities are traded on the MCX, why
they are traded, how they are traded, and the history of those commodities on the consumer market.
He also discussed how commodity prices are frequently changing in response to the supply and demand for these resources.
The School of Management student’s questions regarding the commodities market and commodity
exchanges were clarified at the end of the session. The session was closed with a vote of thanks by
Program Head MBA & PGD Programs, Dr. Sudipta Sen Gupta.
