Python Programming Workshop at IUAC
An introductory Python programming workshop was conducted at IUAC (Inter University Accelerator Center) New Delhi by Dr. Sandeep Nagar on 3rd May 2017. The workshop was attended by 17 participants who are college and university teachers from various parts of India. The workshop was conducted to introduce Python programming so that participants can understand and use ExpEYES instrument for scientific instrumentation. Most participants had never done any coding in their life, so workshop started from very basics but later the participants went on to perform numerical calculations as well as plotting complex mathematics equations. Participants showed great enthusiasm to learn and quickly learn concepts, owing to introduction of minimalistic Python style of defining a scientific problem. Participants have requested for another session of a bit advanced applications of Python on Saturday 6th May 2017.
