GD Goenka School of Engineering organized two T3 (Train The Teachers) training program
IBM training programs for faculty members at GD Goenka University on “Cloud Security” and “Big Data Analytics and Hadoop”. GD Goenka School of Engineering organized two T3 (Train The Teachers) training program on two different specializations for its faculty members from 8th August-10th August 2017. The two training programs were titled “Cloud Security” and “Big Data Analytics & Hadoop”. These training programs were part of the GDGU-IBM collaborative program that is offered to its B.Tech (CSE) students with a specialization in “Cloud Computing and Virtualisation” and “Big Data Analytics”. Mr. Yeshwanth Hegde was the subject matter expert for the “Cloud Security” training. Mr. Hegde is a cloud expert who is known for providing different types of training on the cloud to corporates and academia. Dr. S. Chickerur was the subject matter expert for the “Big Data Analytics & Hadoop” Training. Having two decades of experience in research, Dr. Chickerur works in the area of Big Data and parallel processing in big data. During this training program, Dr. Checkerur trained the faculty members on Hortonswork Data Platform (HDP). His training also included; HIVE, PIG, YARN, and SPARK.
