Report on the Guest Lecture by Dr. Kumar Krishen, Ex NASA Scientist at GDGU

School of Engineering, GD Goenka University celebrated Engineers Day on Friday 13 September, 19. On this occasion, a guest lecture on \"Technological Drift in Engineering Education\" was delivered by Professor Naveen Prakash, IIIT Delhi. Prof. Prakash talked about the difference between “Design, Build, Implement, and Prototype” along with some inspirational incidents from his academic career spanning over 4 decades. All the students of the School of Engineering across varied disciplines attended the lecture and understood that Engineers can build the nation and they should work on the SoE philosophy ‘learn, apply and design for giving back to society’.
The guest lecture was followed with Award of Appreciation note and goodies for the best faculty members in different categories including Best Teacher, Best Researcher, Best Team Player, Internal Committee Coordinator, Best Mentor, Hardworking and Committed faculty to name a few. As a team-building exercise the faculty members enjoyed a potluck party thereafter.
