The HR Area of the School of Management at G.D. Goenka University organized the one-day Management Development Programme (MDP) on December 10, 2024, centered on "Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, and Employee Well-Being." The programme aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of emotional intelligence (EI), its role in effective leadership, and its influence on employee well-being. It attracted HR professionals and industry leaders, reflecting the university's commitment to academic and professional growth.

The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Prof. Smitha Girija, Dean of the School of Management, who emphasized the role of emotional intelligence in leadership and its impact on organizational success. Prof. (Dr.) Nusrat Khan introduced the fundamentals of EI, focusing on self-awareness, empathy, and social skills, while Dr. Preeti Malhotra connected EI to leadership, demonstrating its power to foster trust and collaboration. Dr. Swati Sisodia explored leadership's impact on employee well-being, emphasizing strategies to enhance job satisfaction and engagement.

The event concluded with closing remarks by Dean, Dr. Prof. Smitha Girija and Registrar, Dr. Anuradha Tiwari lauded the initiative as the participants gained valuable insights into the core components of emotional intelligence and their practical application in professional settings. The overwhelmingly positive feedback highlighted the sessions' insightful, engaging, and practical nature, reaffirming the programme's success in advancing professional development.
