Guest Lecture on Importance of Financial Knowledge at GD Goenka School of Management
Mr. Gaurav Vohra, Director (Accounting Advisory Service), KPMG has taken a lecture of BBA and MBA students. He explained to the students that people use financial statements of companies to obtain valuable information for making decisions relating to investment, finance, business dealings, etc. Therefore, it’s important for young students to understand how business accounting is done and which principles guide financial statements preparation. He also highlighted the impact of different accounting standards on the books of companies across the globe bringing out the need for harmonisation of these standards. Mr. Vohra gave many live examples of companies to state his views. Students found his talk interesting and motivating.
