Detection of Deception- Techniques in Forensic Science
Forensic Science, Dept. of Basic & Applied Science, School of Engineering & Sciences organized an online guest lecture on ‘Detection of Deception -Techniques in Forensic Science’ on 19 October, 2022. The event was witnessed by the students of Forensic Science & Chemistry, Ph.D Scholars and Faculty members of GD Goenka University.
The resource person, Mr. Sunny Joseph, Consultant, Clinical Psychologist & Neuropsychologist, Axxonet System Technologies Pvt. Ltd, explained various concepts of Forensic Psychology, scientific content analysis in Forensic Psychology. He also elaborated about the interview techniques, false confessions & vulnerabilities during investigation. Mr. Joseph also talked about the polygraph test and their myths, process of brain signal processing and its importance in criminal investigation. The overall session aimed to understand the concepts of various techniques in detecting the deception during psychological interrogation by the experts.
