On December 1, 2017, School of Medical and Allied Sciences celebrated World AIDS Day with an aim to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV and to commemorate those who have died from AIDS – related illness. This event included a session on the topic entitled “Awareness, Prevention and Hope for the Future” held by Dr. Shubhank Singh, Assistant Professor and Resident Doctor, GDGU. Students got factual information about causes, precautions and preventive measures against STDs/ HIV/AIDS. Students participated in the discussion with various queries regarding viral diseases of this sort. Overall session resulted in the development of a bunch of students who can further educate society against the dreadful diseases like AIDS.
