Win at Anveshana 2024-2025
Our students have made us proud at Anveshana 2024-25, securing 5th position in the grand finale at the National Science Centre, New Delhi. Lubna Nazir Zoha (M.Sc. Microbiology, 2023-25), Anishka Goel, Harman Saini, Tanya Diga (B.Sc. (H) Biotechnology, 2022-25), and Shweta Kamboj (M.Pharmacy, 2023-25) won a cash prize of ₹10,000 for their project ‘Biodegradable Baby Diapers using Eco-friendly Materials’, guided by Dr. Anil Kumar, Faculty In-Charge, Biological Sciences.
This innovative project features a three-layer biodegradable diaper—crafted from 100% cotton cloth, an organic super absorbent layer, and an Aloe Vera-glycerine antimicrobial coating. Not only is it sustainable, but its superabsorbent layer converts into hydrogel upon disposal, enhancing plant growth.
Competing against over 400 projects, our students excelled while also mentoring school students and engaging in scientific knowledge sharing.
