Program Description

Masters of Arts in Psychology is an advanced and specialized programme aimed at instilling knowledge and apprising the learners of practical applicability of the subject so that they can apply the same in diverse fields, exhibiting exceptional skills in the field of Health Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Developmental Psychology and Counselling Psychology. It takes a holistic approach to ensure the learners have a deep understanding of the core fundamentals, have scientific approach, are able to counsel, resolve issues, be receptive, skilled and capable as a professional in the respective files of Psychology.

Students of MA Psychology / MA Counseling Psychology degree programme at the time of graduation will have:

Programme Specific Outcomes

PSO1. Knowledge & Application: The program will enable the students to develop in-depth knowledge & application of psychology as a science.

PSO2. Analytical Skills: It will equip students with analytical skills, knowledge about psychometric tools, and assessment and intervention strategies for use in the professional setting.

PSO3. Communication & Ethics: Students would be able to enhance their skills of communication, teamwork, and ethical functioning in personal and professional domains.

PSO4. Professional Skills: The program will expose students to diverse areas of psychological application including counseling, human resource management, psychotherapy, organization-specific skills training, and other branches of clinical and non-clinical relevance.

PSO5. Research & Solution Orientation: Students will be able to establish a strong orientation towards research, design, and development of solutions. The program would orient students to contribute to the development of the discipline as well as set them on the path of life-long learning.
