Program Description

B.Tech. ECE(Internet of Things) enables students to apply the concepts and applications in the field of Electronics, Communication, Networking, Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, IoT, Industrial Automation and Semiconductor Technology(VLSI) to arrive at solutions to real world problems. This course also help students to apply modern design tools to analyse and design subsystems/ processes for a variety of applications. The Internet of Things (IoT) is opening up a world of opportunities for everyone from connected cars to connected healthcare to smart cities and even home automation. The World Economic Forum estimates that by 2020, about 50 billion things will be connected. In short, the Internet of Things adds an entirely new dimension to transform governments, businesses and societies and advancing humanity in ways we cannot yet imagine. With this in mind, GD Goenka University, School of Engineering and Sciences is offering B.Tech ECE (Specialization in IoT) course for the students aspiring to be a part of the transforming world. The department is well equipped with the laboratory facilities required for the course namely microprocessor laboratory, sensors laboratory and Robotics Centre with IIT Bhuvneshwar. The curriculum is also updated with all the elective courses to be in the field of IoT such that the student is confident enough to take up the IoT related mini project in 3rd year and also internship offers in various IoT based companies like Intel, EinNel, Texas Instruments and also further get their placement offers. There is a huge demand for this course and there few trained available in this domain. We plan to capture this emerging area by offering this flagship programme.
