Introduction:

Felnunmoi Gangte’s research investigates the possibilities of traditional bamboo hand weaving in creating three-dimensional forms. Alongside her academic and professional work, she actively collaborates with craftsmen in the handloom and handicraft sectors of Northeast India, contributing to cultural preservation through design. A multidisciplinary designer, she engages with fashion and lifestyle designing, creative writing, and exploration of indigenous art forms, using her platforms to celebrate and reimagine traditional craft in contemporary contexts.
