Introduction: Dr. Priyanka Bagri is Associate Professor, School of Healthcare & Allied Sciences, G D Goenka University.
Dr. Priyanka Bagri is working in Department of Pharmacy, School of Health and Allied Health Science, Sohna, Haryana as Associate Professor of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry and has been associated in the field of herbal drugs and natural products, since 2002. She received her M. Pharmacy and Ph.D degrees in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi and completed her doctoral thesis on standardization, extraction and isolation of bioactive antidiabetic principles from natural drugs. She joined Bioactive Natural Product Laboratory, Jamia Hamdard as a women research scientist in 2014 to work on the metabolomics and bioactivity guided isolation of antidiabetics phytoconstituents from herbal drugs and completed her research as Post Doc fellow from Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. She has to her credit several research publications in various reputed national and international journals. She has her participation in over 30 conferences in India. Her field of interests in research is drug discovery from natural sources. Her research has focused on the phytochemical, metabolomics and chromatographic analysis of medicinal plants for quality control and chemo profiling of oils using GC-MS as well as for in vitro in vivo evaluation of plant drugs for antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and hepatoprotective activities.
