Introduction:
Dr. Varsha Pandey has completed her graduation (B.Sc. Ag.), post-graduation (M.Sc. Soil Science)
and Ph.D. in Soil Science from the College of Agriculture, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. Her Ph.D. research work pertains to the area of Soil Test Crop Response (STCR) and its effect on soil quality and crop yield. Master's research work was on soil health assessment under different land use systems in Mollisol regions of Uttarakhand. She has also worked as a Young Professional at GBPUA&T Pantnagar under the project entitled “Impact of Nano fertilizers, biofertilizers and seaweed extracts on crop yields and soil health”.
She has qualified for ICAR-NET in 2019 and has published 5 research papers, 5 book chapters, and several articles in reputed journals and magazines. She has also been awarded with a gold medal and the Indian Society of Soil Science Zonal Award for the North zone (Best presentation of M.Sc. thesis) in 2018 and Plantica Young Scientist Award-2021. She is also a recipient of the Best Ph.D. thesis Award 2022 (Soil Science) organized by Agro-Environmental Education & Farmers Welfare Society, Punjab.
