Introduction:
Dr. Paramita Deb has completed a B.Sc. in agriculture from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam and M.Sc. in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry from Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krisi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, Maharashtra. Further she has completed her Ph.D. from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Mohanpur, West Bengal. Her research area of specialization is potassium dynamics in long term fertility experiment, soil fertility management and soil chemistry.
She has qualified both ICAR-JRF & SRF. She was the 1st Rank holder of M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry department from VNMKV, Parbhani and recipient of Late Sri Bhiku Ramji Varada Silver Medal for securing highest CGPA in soil science. She has more than three years of professional experience in teaching, research and administration in her the field.
She also successfully qualified the ASRB-NET in 2016 and 2017. Prior to joining GDGU, she served in different departments as position like Assistant professor at ITM University, Gwalior and Junior Research Fellow, Directorate of Biotechnology, Agartala Tripura.

Dr. Paramita worked on topic entitled ‘“Studies on effect of potassium on growth, yield and uptake of nutrients by green gram”.
While, in Ph.D. programme Dr. Paramita worked on topic entitled “Potassium fractions in soils under Long Term Experiments with different management practices and soil types.”
