The program offers specializations in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and Space Technology (ST), addressing the growing manpower needs of the self-reliant Indian aerospace and defense industries.

Key Highlights:
Specializations: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Unmanned Aerial Systems, Space
Technology
Dissertation/Industry Projects: One-year dissertation project in an industry relevant to the specialization
Pilot Program Option: Opportunity to obtain a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Instructor
License in place of a dissertation
Industry Internships: Facilitated internships in Indian and foreign institutions
Comprehensive Curriculum: Fundamentals of aerospace engineering, specialization courses, and practical industry experience

First Semester:

Fundamentals of aerospace engineering to prepare for specialization

Second Semester:

Specialized courses in one of the three streams:

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Training in numerical tools, techniques, and programming for analyzing thermo-fluidic, aerodynamic, structural-dynamical, and various other systems

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS): Comprehensive coverage of UAVs from conceptual design
to fabrication and subsystem integration, including aerodynamic, structural, and propulsive
systems design, stability analysis, and avionics

Space Technology (ST): Skills in designing and analyzing propulsion systems, interplanetary
trajectories, satellite deployment, and planetary entry, descent, and landing

Third and Fourth Semesters:

Master’s project or dissertation in the respective domain within an industry

Submission of the project report or dissertation for the award of the degree Pathway to Pilot Program

Second Year Option: Students can opt to train in the USA or Europe to become a pilot in place of the Master’s project
Commercial Pilot License (CPL): Upon qualification, students receive a CPL, Instructor License, and 1000 hours of flight training

Additional Information:

Industry-Relevant Skills: Gain experience in CFD, FEM, Modelling and Simulation, CAE, Controller Design, Avionics System Design, Structural Analysis, Space Propulsion Design,
Rocket Design, Interplanetary Mission Design, Trajectory Optimization, Satellite Communication, and more
