Professional Biography

Prerna Sharma has more than six years experience in environmental engineering and solid waste management. She teaches subjects in allied fields such as environmental management systems, environmental studies and disaster management, pollution control and monitoring, municipal solid waste management, engineering principles and management, and disaster management.

Prior to taking up the current role in 2014, Prerna was an Assistant Professor in Chandigarh University (CU) Mohali, Punjab.

Prerna is pursuing her Ph.D in environmental engineering from G D Goenka University, Gurugram. Her current qualifications are M.Sc (Environment and Solid Waste Management) from Panjab University; M.E (Environmental Engineering, Civil) from PEC University of Technology Chandigarh; B.Sc (Medical) from Panjab University, Chandigarh; Advanced Diploma in Environmental Auditing from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She was awarded a ‘Gold Medal’ for her MSc (Environment and Solid Waste Management) at Panjab University, Chandigarh
