Professional Biography

Soumita Talukdar is an expert in the area of nanotechnology and material sciences with the background of chemistry. She has taught for more than two years in the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, GD Goenka University, Gurgaon.

Soumita Talukdar holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (Nanotechnology); M.Sc. from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (Chemistry); and B.Sc. (Chemistry Hons), from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata affiliated to Calcutta University.

Current Research

Soumita is currently focused in converting organic waste into less toxic nanomaterial based sensors for toxic pollutants in waste water, using eco-friendly synthetic procedure with high sensitivity and feasible implementation.
