Dr. Priyanka Tyagi

Priyanka expertise is in the area of polymer-based drug delivery systems with a background in biotechnology. She has taught these subjects for nearly five years at universities such as Dr K N Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (India) and G D Goenka University.
Prior to taking up the current role in 2016, Priyanka served in several research and academic positions such as Project Scientist (Centre for Biomedical Engineering), IIT- Delhi; and Lecturer, Department of Biotechnology at Dr. K N Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research.
Priyanka Tyagi holds a PhD from the Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences, DRDO & CCS University; MSc (Biotechnology) from the Banasthali Vidyapith; and BSc (Chemistry Hons., Zoology pass) from Banasthali Vidyapith.

Priyanka’s current research interests is on using an interdisciplinary approach for designing new systems for decorporation of heavy metals and antimicrobial compounds and developing controlled release formulations based on polymeric systems for wounds and burns.
