Qualification
Ph.D. Floriculture and Landscaping Architecture
Kunal Adhikary completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Punjab. He received gold medal in Graduation with 9.66 CGPA. He received his Master’s degree from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur- Nadia (West Bengal) in Floriculture and Landscaping. Ph.D. had been completed from B.C.K.V, Mohanpur- West Bengal. Net qualified, 2018 in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture. He is working in the field of floriculture last 5 yrs. very efficiently and made quantifiable contribution in Nanoparticle synthesis from ornamental plants, application of nanotechnology over ornamental plants, value-addition of flower crops, protected cultivation and smart-horticultural aspects for sustainable agriculture.
He published more than 28s research papers including review paper and original research work under various reputed national and international journals, also published popular articles, abstracts, short communication and book chapters in several conference proceedings. He wrote one book entitled ‘Instant of Medicinal and Aromatic crops’ under national publishers. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Horticulture, School of Agriculture, GD Goenka University, Gwalior. He proposed three different project proposal under DST Scheme related to phytoremediation, heritage science and temple waste management. He was awarded with various national awards from AIU (Association of Indian University) for his research work.
With the understanding of administrative and extra co-curricular responsibilities, he acts as a core committee member in two international conferences and organized various FDPs and short courses for agricultural graduates. He is deliberately working for upliftment of tribal and rural communities by enhancing their knowledge on ornamental crops cultivation and value addition. While serving in ITM University, Gwalior, he guided 10 M.Sc. and 1 Ph.D. students. He has specialization in synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles and its application over ornamental crops, along with turfing and landscape architecture.
