Dr. Anwesha Mandal has completed her graduation (B. Sc. Ag. Hons.) from Visva Bharati, West Bengal, and subsequently joined G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar in the Department of Agricultural Communication with ICAR-JRF (NTS) for her Master. She gained her
Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal. She has worked as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and
Technology (CAAST) on Conservation Agriculture (CA), funded by ICAR-National Agricultural Higher Education Project and World Bank for three years. She has also spent six months as a Visiting Fellow at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York (USA). She is skilled at using different extension education methods and communication aids. Her strengths include working with farmers on the adoption of different sustainable agricultural practices, spreading awareness on soil health management in rural communities, and understanding the different factors advocating the decision-making process of the farmers. She qualified for both ASRB-NET (Agricultural Extension) and UGC-NET (Adult Education/
Continuing Education/ Andragogy/ Non-formal Education) and was awarded UGC-Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) as well. She holds one year of teaching experience at ITM University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh before joining GD Goenka University.
